How to Place a Banner Ad in Hashing Ad Space

To create a banner campaign, you can use the bonus impressions you got when you registered on Hashing Ad Space, or, if you want a larger campaign, you can purchase extra impressions.

STEP 1: Go to Advertising on the left menu of your Dashboard in Hashing Ad Space.  Click on Advertising, then click on Campaign Setup.

If you are setting up a Banner Ad, you will need also a secure URL (web address) for your banner image.  Click on the banner image you plan to use and check that the address at the top of your page starts with https://.

You will need to copy and paste that address into the form to set up your Advertising Campaign. 

Next click on Banner Ad Setup.

We have a choice of two different sizes of Banner Ads.  A Square Banner which is 125 x 125 pixels and Horizontal Banner which is 468 x 60 pixels.  Your banner must be one of these sizes.  Take note of how many Impressions (times the banner will be displayed) you have available for each size.

Now, we assume you have a Banner that is 125 x 125, and you have copied the URL (web address) of the banner, and you also have the secure URL for the website you want visitors to see when they click on the Banner.  You want to use 100 of your Available Impressions for this Banner Ad Campaign.

STEP 2:  Fill in the details of your campaign.

Title:  Fill in the title of your ad.  This is for your reference only, this will not show on the website.   In this example we called our ad My Make Money Online Site.

Banner Type (size) : Choose the correct size banner that matches the size you are using. (click the little arrows at the end of the Banner Type (size) box to choose the correct size.

In this example we are using a 125 x 125 banner.

Banner URL:  paste the URL of the Banner you are using. 

In this example our banner URL is https://imgur.com/W25czw1.png

Destination URL:  Paste the URL of the website, your referral link, etc that you wish visitors to go to when they click on your Banner.

In this example our Destination URL (the website, or web address of your referral link, etc), is https://disruption.sharenodes.info/.

Impressions:  Enter the number of Impressions you wish to use of your Available Impressions. 

In this example we entered 100.

 Then click on the ADD button.

NOTE: please remember that the URL to your website must be a secure "https://" URL.

STEP 3: A pop up box will appear showing you how your Banner will display, the title, and the number of Impressions you have chosen.  If this looks correct, and your Banner is displaying correctly, click on CONFIRM.  If you need to make changes click on BACK.

NOTE: If the popup screen will be blank, it means that you website will not display correctly in Hashing Ad Space. You need to contact you website administrator and ask them to allow the loading of their page in frames.

Once your Banner is displaying correctly and you confirm your ad, the page will refresh and if all is correct you will see a message saying “Your banner ad has been submitted.  It is now pending admin approval”.

NOTE: All advertising is checked manually for conformity. Please allow up to 48 hours from submission for approval.

If you have previously had several banner ads set up, take note of the fact there is a maximum number you can have at one time, both finished and active.

If you receive the notice that you have reached the maximum number of ads, you will need to go to Advertising then Active Campaigns.

You will be required to delete one or more Campaigns, or wait for one to have zero impressions remaining and delete.

Check back to see when your ad is active, by clicking on Advertising, then Active Campaigns.  Once it is active, you will see your Title, Size, and the number of Impressions you chose to allocate, next you will see how many times your banner has been shown, and how many times (impressions) are left for it to be shown.

In this example all ads have expired. Meaning all impressions have been used, the banner has been shown on the website for the number of times allocated.

You can check to see when your ad starts by logging in, go to Dashboard, then on left menu click on Advertising.  Then click on Active Campaigns.

Advertising Statistics on your Dashboard will show the total views delivered.  Keep watch by checking Active Campaigns so you can add Available Impressions or delete as desired.
