How To Create A New Wallet In Waves on a Computer

Your minting wallet must be a Waves wallet that you control and must be unique.

This means we recommend you set up a new minting dedicated wallet for minting, however it is not required.

To create your new Minting Wallet, (or any new wallet in Waves) log into your Waves Exchange Account and click on your Avatar in the upper right corner.  Then click on “Switch Account”

From the drop-down menu click on “Add Account”.

On the next page click on the button labeled “Create A New Account”.

Choose a new Avatar, notice you now have a new wallet address for this wallet, then click on the button labeled “Continue”

Give the new account (wallet) a name and click on the button labeled “Continue”.

Notice in the left bottom corner of your screen, the notice to record your “Seed Phrase”  It is very important that you WRITE THESE 15 WORDS DOWN ON A PAPER IN THE ORDER GIVEN AND KEEP IT SAFE.

Click on the red word “save” in the box at the bottom left corner of your screen.

A popup will appear on your screen, in the middle of the box will be your 15 word “Seed Phrase”  Write it down on a piece of paper in the order given, and keep that paper safe.  If you lose this seed phrase you will not have access to your wallet or any tokens in that wallet.  For example, your computer is broken or stolen where you have your Waves Exchange located.  If you have that seed phrase you can import your wallet on a new device.

Write down the words in order, then click on the button labeled “I’ve Written It Down”.

Read the notice on the new pop up screen and click on the button labeled “I Understand”.

Now when you log into your Waves Exchange Account you will see a list of wallets to choose from when you click on the Avatar in the upper right corner of your screen, including your new wallet.

This will enable you to move Asimi and Waves from one wallet to another.

To prepare for the new Asimi Minting you must have Asimi in the wallet you choose to use for minting.  To move Asimi from another wallet where you have it after purchasing or after withdrawing from Hashing Ad Space you will also need a small amount of Waves for transaction fees.

When you are ready to verify your minting wallet in Hashing Ad Space you will send a small amount of Asimi to Hashing Ad Space to verify the wallet, you will also need a small amount of Waves in your minting wallet for transaction fees.  (Please wait for instructions to verify your wallet).
